CHICAGO
First it was the nickle tax on bottled water and now we have the raise in the sales tax. Seems like no government lives with-in their means anymore. I'm looking forward to warm weather and the Gran Park Music Festival which is one of the best buys in the city.
NORTH SHORE
Summer jobs are available for young adults who attend the Mayor's summer youth employment program job fair 8:00 AM - 2:00PM at the Evanston Civic Center, 2100 Ridge. Can't wait to picnic at Ravinia.
EDGEWATER
We are still awaiting the opening of Nookies and the Sweet Occasions on Bryn Mawr. Pepitone's outdoor eating area promises to be a popular spot. Keep the faith... It's sure to get warm soon.

HouseBlogs.net - Cick on the "Blogs" tab near the top of the home page for access to thousands of blgs on home renovation and repair.

Chicago - Watch out for the City Council to raise the amount of the Real Estate Transfer Tax. They want to see how bad they can make the real estate market.

North Shore -Taking a cue from the popular television show that let's people know the value of their antiques, the Evanston Review runs an article called "The Antique Detective".

Edgewater - Rumour has it that Sweet Occasions on Bryn Mawr will have their soft opening on February 13th and we see progress at Nookies.
